Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1989 Grand Wagoneer. This is my second one and I absolutely love it however buying a bigger house so she needs to go. I bought this as a running driving project so it is in no way shape or form in great condition. I do drive her once or twice a month so she sits a lot. She looks great from 10ft away but once you get close you see the love she needs. Below I will list the pros and cons. CONS: There is rust on various spot on the body, rear lower quarter panel was redone some time ago but poorly and should be redone again. Some rust by the top of windshield but doesn't leak. The jeep had the typical gas tank skid plate rot. Frame was touched/welded (not in half or anything) up at one point so its strong and not rotted through nor does it seem to ever have been. PO did weld up his own bracket, however I have a factory rust free skid plate and brackets from another grand wagoneer to bolt up as seen in the pictures, just don't have the time (no I will not sell just the skidplate). The jeep runs well but needs a carb clean or rebuild. She does sit alot so does take a bit to start and warm up. The starter works every time, however every now and then the gear does seem to stick but she always starts fine. Needs all new window wipes on the doors, weather stripping on tailgate should be replaced as well as the passenger side hinge pin (bumps on street bumps, $40 at BJ's), however the gate goes up and down fine. Switch on the gate does not work (very common). All windows go up and down including the rear but some of the switches on the doors don't work but work from the main switch. Floors seem good but rear will most likely need some patches. ($60 on BJ's). Leaks a tad of trans fluid here or there but not bad. Mileage is unknown but is said to have about 190k. According to the previous owner the speedo stopped working so he swapped it out for a 280k one (no proof) and had the heads redone two years ago. But engine is very strong so I believe that. PROS: I just had the following work done within the last 3 months. New white wall 70k mile tires, New fuel filter, water pump, alternator, oil pressure sender, timing cover gasket (does not have the notorious coolant leak as I replaced when I had the water pump done) New timing chain and sprockets done at same time. Interior is in nice shape for the year, no rips. Overhead console works with the temperature and compass. All windows go up and down from the main switch (a switch or two doesn't work on the doors). Rear tailgate opens closes and rear window goes up and down. Heat works well, however the blower is a bit nosy so I have a new blower in the box. All gauges work, all lights on dash work, Air Conditioning works, all doors open and close. 4x4 works but light does not come on dash. Trans shifts ok, sometimes when its very cold she's slow to shift so may want to change fluid as its a bit dirty. rare factory OEM skid rust free skid plate included. I have done my best to accurately describe this so there are no surprises. Its in ok condition but its a running driving project that is insured and on the road. No trades or low balls. I want to sell for a house down payment but I'm not going to give it away. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangement. I'm sorry but I'm to busy to deliver. My zip code is 08087
