Vehicle Detail
1967 Pontiac Lemans 326 2 speed automatic Garage find. Youll be hard pressed to find a nicer mostly original car in the condition this one is in but they are out there at a price. This car has been in the garage and not driven for the past 32 years. Its a 2 owner car and has been garaged during the lifetime since new when it wasnt being driven. It was last driven in 1986 by the 2nd owner thus the cob webs under the car. I drained the gas tank and had it cleaned out at a radiator shop, had the carburetor professionally rebuilt and it works perfectly with the choke in colder weather as well, new brake rubber hoses, new wheel cylinders, and new brake shoes. Brand new set of radial tires all around bias ply still in trunk but its cracked, new rear coil springs. The picture in the garage is with just coils springs, the pictures outside are with an added 1.5 inch spacers, they can be easily removed. The cylinders were lubricated and turned over by hand before starting and the engine runs flawlessly, transmission works and shifts perfectly and drips after driving getting it up to temperature. Id say 4 drips after its hot and parked by the looks of the garage floor. Maybe a 2x2 inch piece of chrome has peeled off the rear bumper. Battery does not drain down even after 3 weeks so nothing draining the battery. The car has power steering, but no power brakes or air cond. The interior is original and almost perfect. See pictures. Car is the original color and was repainted in the early 80s. The sheet metal is original and no rust. It doesnt look like they spent a lot of time repainting it as its not museum quality but a cheaper repaint so many chose back in that era. I wouldnt and dont have a problem taking it to shows though and proud to do so. The one thing Im amazed by is how well the car drives. Its as quiet and as tight as seemingly the day it was sold. I will say again, it would be hard to find a better car for the price of the reserve anywhere. If you have questions please ask, look at the photos, and or email me before bidding. I do under describe the cars I have sold on here in the past as I would rather you be pleasantly surprised instead of trying to play salesman. I am retired and its a hobby not a way of living so am not throwing sales pitches around, just honest descriptions. If the car is not what I say it is or you dont like what you see, you dont need to buy it. I would like for all to be happy as I know its hard to buy on the internet these days. On Feb-17-18 at 12:20:14 PST, seller added the following information: *******One of the things I need two be clear on is.. I stated the car is' the original color and it was suppose to say WAS' the original color before it was painted in the early 80s. Auto correct fun stuff but the reserve has not been met so making this clear after reading description. The original paint code on this car is H-H Lindon Green Poly. A rare or at least low production color its its own right. If youre not pulling on rubber youd never know it was repainted to a totally different color.
