LOW LOW LOW RESERVE. I am selling my 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition Y-88 code. Sold new in Georgia. Barn find out of southern Georgia then stored in a climate-controlled garage since. PHS documentation (Pontiac Historical Society), copy of original window sticker, 6.6L Pontiac big block (Not Olds 403), WS6, Matching numbers. Automatic, A.C. equipped, Correct gold T-tops (Excellent condition-no scratches), remachined gold dash, aftermarket gold steering wheel, original at shop getting redone and is included in the sale. No cracks in original dash. No cracks in windshield. Honeycomb wheels. New paint, factory correct striping and bird, new weatherstripping, carpet, headliner, package tray, Mickey Thompson tires, correct style dual exhaust, rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet carb. New power window motors (still a little slow but they work ) Factory correct blacked-out taillights and window trim. Runs/drives good.The clock, power door locks, and the alternator gauge don't work. I have never diagnosed the problem but they should be an easy fix. New catalytic converters. Unmolested engine bay, original paint on motor, AC system low but compressor not locked up, door panels have been dyed sometime in the past and don't match. Replacements are available for @ $300 apiece. Paint looks great. Correct 50U Solar Gold touch up paint included. Owners manual. New trunk mat. Quarter panels, doors, rockers, trunk pan are solid. Trunk has two small holes@1/8"). Original floor pans are solid. One small patch on passengers side by previous owner looks good. Old school Blauplunkt cassette player included but not hooked up. Originally an 8-track car. Uncut dash.This is a rare collectable Trans Am, you can drive and enjoy. It need very little to take it to the next level. 1 of 6500.
