I am listing my friend's 2008 Subaru Outback for sale. She has owned this car for three years, added few miles and maintained it well. She is selling because she lives and works in a more urban setting now, and doesn't need to drive much these days. Car has been a reliable vehicle for three years and has required little more than basic maintenance. I can provide receipts for work done, including some suspension bushings and exhaust components. Car has factory alloy wheels in great shape with no curb rash. Interior options include cruise control, CD player, aux. input, and heated seats. In addition to the regular floor mats, the car has a full set of OEM Subaru rubber mats (pictured) which catch and hold a lot of dirt, and keep the carpets in great condition. Tires are two years old, have less than 20K miles on them, and have plenty of tread left (see pics). Car has had no accidents or bodywork done, and paint and glass are in very good condition. Windshield was replaced about a year ago due to some small stone chips. This car has a clean title, no rust, everything works well, and needs nothing. You can drive it home with confidence, and with the AWD and 5 speed manual, it makes a great winter car! I answered some questions earlier but they never appeared on the listing, so I've added them here: How is the clutch holding up? Do you know when it was last replaced? Are there any other notable items in the service history that you are aware of? Do you know when the brakes were last serviced? Has the car been smoked in? The clutch is holding up fine. Two years ago, the throwout bearing went, and we replaced the whole clutch at that time. New pads and rotors were installed about a year (8-10K miles) ago and have plenty of life left in them. The car shifts and stops as it should, and has never been smoked in. The only other notable items in the service history are:1. The exhaust work that was done last year, including replacement of the front catalytic converter and an O2 sensor.2. The oil pressure valve solenoids, also replaced last year3. The power lock mechanism for the rear hatch, replaced 2016 Has the head gasket been changed on this vehicle? The head gaskets have not been changed, and the engine has never shown signs of leaks or other issues associated with them (coolant and oil are clean). The engine has never been apart for major surgery.
