Here is my nice 59 el camino, it was restored almost 5 years ago, everything was either rebuilt or replaced, everything works except the clock, all original gages, work like new, 283 strong 4 barrel engine with power steering, the transmission is the reconditioned 3 speed with hurst floor shifter, The cars runs and drives excellent, the paint condition is starting to show some age with a very few small paint chips, and a couple of areas of paint spidering, have to look for them,mostly on hood. paint is still a 7 or 8 out of 10. There is no rust in the car, all floorboards and both quarter panels were replaced by a body shop, where body work and paint was completed. The car has all new glass except the back window, side trim is excellent and original. all chrome rechromed, also sports the front bumper grill bar.. Tires are 15 inch on american racing wheels with good tread. Gas tank was boiled out and coated, painted, and reinstalled with new sending unit.,Front end of car was totally rebuilt with all new ball joints and bushings, . The radiator is new aluminum. the car drives cool on the hottest days, stock radio. Interior is by cidella, and the impala trim was added to further the beauty of the interior,. Now, the car is not off the show room floor,, It has a few flaws, a few small paint issues chips and spidering, look at the hood for this,. easy fix if you want to, .
