Vehicle Detail
This Austin Healey has been in the family since the early 1970's in a garage....It was towed home, never driven and is a good basis for a total restoration...I am listing it for a family member and all questions can be answered by my brother, Alan Wagner (301-759-2869), who has the vehicle in the garage in Cumberland, Md.... It was bought with a small block Chevy engine in it which was transplanted to another vehicle.... A Healey engine and gearbox were sourced in the area to be installed... The car appears to be complete, with interior, top frame, hardtop, side curtains etc... The frame does not look to be modified, just a couple V8 motor mounts attached... Floors look solid but I have not been under it so cannot give a more accurate review... Original steering wheel and gauges are present.... Of course the best option would be to come and inspect the vehicle before bidding... Thanks for looking, Gary Wagner On Mar-08-18 at 18:12:50 PST, seller added the following information: Should have made this more clear in the original info.....Engine is complete with carbs, distributor, generator, starter, fan etc....Also transmission has the overdrive unit, all mounts and brackets.... Gary On Mar-11-18 at 15:41:53 PDT, seller added the following information: With many asking questions about rust in the vehicle......We had an individual who has an interest in bidding arrive and inspect the Healey today.......He was able to jack the car into the air, get under it for inspection..... He reported solid floor pans and solid trunk floor....Rust at the battery box area and a bit on the inner front fender bottoms as shown in one of the photos were the only areas he found.......Hope this info answers many of the questions asked.....Gary
