Up for auction is a 1977 ford f150 4x4, I built this truck to go anywhere and be reliable doing it, I installed a skyjacker 4" lift kit with adjustable heavy duty track bar, all new front end eurathane bushings, front axle was completely removed and disassembled to install all new bearings and seals, balljoints and u joints,. also installed a lock right locker while keeping the factory 3.50 gears, also installed warn premium locking hubs, finished off the front axle with a new diff cover. new cross drilled and slotted rotors were installed with new brake calipers and baer front brake pads, and all new braided brake lines, all new tie rods and new tougher tie rod dust boots. everything was removed, cleaned, inspected and painted before being reassembled. front driveshaft was removed cleaned and painted before new u joints were installed, same with rear driveshaft, removed, cleaned,painted and new u joints installed. rear axle was removed, disassembled to install all new differential bearings while keeping the factory 3.50 gears, installed lock right locker. installed new axle bearings and seals, new rear brake drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders also, new rear braided brake hose and replaced rear axle brake lines.while axles were out and suspension stripped I cleaned and painted the frame, installed new gas tank, all fuel lines were replaced. truck was originally a 400v8 with a c-6 auto trans, well the 400 decided to lose oil pressure and seize, upon disassembly of the 400 I found it was already 040 over, to me its junk not worth rebuilding, onto the scrap pile it went, I hated the 8 mpg the 400 was getting with less than adequate power it was giving, so I decided to build a 302 for it, the motor has been completely rebuilt with gt40p heads(see pics) summit racing flat tappet camshaft (just a rebranded crane energizer cam) I have the cam card if you want a pic just ask, its very mild and idles smooth. summit 4 barrel aluminum intake, edelbrock 600 carb with working choke, pacesetter shorty headers, summit hei distributor(1 wire hookup!!) factory ignition wiring is still on the truck inc the factory ignition module still mounted on the inner fender. very easy to return it to the ford duraspark system if you wish to. new high volume oil pump and shaft, all new gaskets and seals, new water pump, fuel pump, new engine mounts, new belts and hoses, new 180deg t-stat, new t-stat housing, new 100amp 1 wire alternator, new starter, new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing,While engine was out I converted the truck to a 4 spd manual, transmission was re-gasketed due to a leak on the pto cover, transfer case was removed and new seals installed, everything cleaned and painted. new champion aluminum 4 row radiator was also installed. truck now doubles the mpg at 16 on the highway and 12mpg around town, truck also has new full dual exhaust with dynomax super turbo mufflers, has nice mellow rumble.The interior is in very good condition with no cracks on the dash(rare!) I installed mechanical gauges in the dash which work great, installed new carpet, cd player and pioneer speakers behind the seat, the seat is out of a 96 f150 and just feels so much nicer than the old bench (i still have the original bench seat, if you want it ill put it in the bed of the truck) steering column is a replacement from a 1978 f150 with a 4 speed, fit perfectly. door panels and arm rests are in good shape. Ii installed a new heater core and blower motor as well,headliner also in good shape, truck does have a sliding rear window but the locking tab is broken. Truck does have the explorer stripe package which is one of the reasons I never had the body redone, I just really like the old patina look the truck has, it has the typical body cancer over the rear wheel wells and lower rear quarter, (I have patch panels for the lower rear bedsides I bought long ago, for the wheel wells I was told I can use the arch from a front fender which I have a right and left front fender to use to repair it, if you want them ill include them) the floors and cab mounts and cab corners are in great shape, again I just didn't want to lose the old school look of the truck so ive been doing some serious feet dragging on fixing it. I upgraded the headlights, they have replaceable bulbs and are wayyy brighter, I also used a painless relay system for them as well. rear bumper is new, front bumper is slightly twisted(see pics) but not bad at all. EVERYTHING WORKS! HAS BRAND NEW 33X10.50R15 BFG ALL TERRAIN KO2 TIRES, LESS THAN 10 MILES ON THEM. this is not a truck you buy and hand over to your mechanic to have to fix all kind of things, its ready to do whatever you ask of it right now! its super reliable, fires right up every time, shifts great, stops great, lock it in 4x4 with front and rear lockers and it will go wherever you want, it kills me to have to sell this truck but ive simply outgrown the single cab, I need more space for the family so I found a crewcab to fix up but I cant keep everything so she has to go.
