Ford Van, was running great then blew a spark plug out of its ownself. I had a mechanic look at it and when he sent to start it there was a fire in the engine bay. Apparently, when the plug blew out it knocked off a fuel rail and when the mechanic turned the key over it sprayed gas and sparked it. Sounded quite dramatic, he said it "blew up", but he had an extinguisher handy and it really didn't do that much damage. Melted some of the cable management sleeves and plastic pieces, but no real damage to the wires or anything mechanical. If I had a warm place to work on it, I'd buy a couple new injectors, a few new coils, a helicoil fix for the spark plug, and try to bring her back to life! That said, I'm selling this as a parts van. The motor was running good, wasn't using oil. I was driving this back and forth 600 miles several times a year without any problems. It would need to have the spark plug hole fixed. I had the transmission rebuilt about 3000 miles ago. The guy working on it said it was a great heavy duty transmission and that I was better off rebuilding it than finding a replacement, so that's what I did. No reserve, so anyone interested gets it for high bid.Van does not start or run, must be towed away. Cannot be worked on in place.Clear title in my name. Located near Elkridge MD 21075On Dec-01-17 at 17:50:27 PST, seller added the following information: Quick update: I took a close look at the engine bay today and I'm missing that thing that sits on top of the intake manifold. I don't think it's called a carburetor because this thing is fuel injected, but whatever that piece is, it's missing. I took it off when I was going to fix the van and I don't know what I did with it so I have to assume it's gone. Other than that, everything is there.
