Vehicle Detail
2008 Ford Taurus X One owner vehicle. I have owned this vehicle since brand new in late 2007. Non-smoker family so it has never seen any cigarette smoke. This was our family car while my son was young and has been a great SUV for us. Me and my ex wife divorced 2 years ago and I have not driven the car much in the last year so it is time to sell it. I still drove up until 2016 but I have not driven it out of the neighborhood in 2017 since I have a smaller Camry that I drive now. I have started it a couple times a month to keep the fluids fresh. I do keep the battery on a trickle charger. Oil changes were done every 3000 to 5000 miles. It has never been wrecked or in a wreck. The car starts and the engine runs just fine. A/C still blows cold. All the lights inside and out still work. Radio and CD player still work. All the interior is still in good shape. Seats work just fine. You can use it as 3rd row seating for a larger family or you can lay the seats down and use it for hauling stuff. The 2 front tires still have good tread on them but the 2 rear tires will probably need replaced. See the pictures of them above. (Pic #21 is the front tire, Pic #22 is the rear tire.) I added a custom remote start that is still working as well so if you do not have a garage it comes in handy in the winter to use the remote start. These Taurus X SUV's were known to have the transmission cooler unit / lines go bad and this one was replaced probably somewhere around the 100,000 mile range I believe. Other than that this Taurus X has never been to a garage other than the normal oil/ tires / brakes. It has never leaked or burned oil in the past. It still has plenty of oil in it but obviously it would need an oil filter and oil change since I have not done it this past year since I do not drive it anymore. I believe the rear passenger side caliper has stuck on the rotor from where I have not driven the vehicle much in the last year. You can hear it squeak when you pull it in and out of the driveway. I have not tried to repair it or fool with it since I do not drive it anymore. So the car will have to be towed to your location but it can easily be driven up onto any car trailer. I live back in the suburbs to far away from a brake shop and did not want to risk any damage driving it there to get it fixed or pay to get it towed to get the caliper looked at. And I am not a brake mechanic so I have just left it as is for now. I have figured spending around $300-400 between getting 2 new rear tires and maybe one new caliper and pads and this Taurus X will be good to go. I have reflected that in the price and / or will consider that in an offer. The car has a clean clear one owner title. The taxes and tags are up to date as of 2017 but I do not have it registered as of this month since I do not drive anymore. You can come inspect it anytime. Just email me and we can set up a time. The car is sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for getting this vehicle and transporting it to its new location. Lots of life left in this vehicle and would make a nice ride for a family with a few small kids to haul around once the caliper is fixed. I will be adding a video link soon to this listing of the car starting and running. I have more pictures of the car if you need to see anything else on it. Email with any questions.
