There is little doubt that the 1983 Honda CX-650 turbo was the pinnacle of development of the short lived motorcycle turbo movement of the early 80s. It was very fast, smooth and reliable. Honda spent literally untold millions to develop it. The 650 turbo was a very low production bike and most were ridden hard and put away wet. That is because once a rider tried the brutal all inspiring acceleration he was immediately sold on this bike and couldn’t resist riding it into the ground as it was so exciting and so much fun. The turbo that you see here is one of the rarest of all Honda 650 turbos because it has less than 150 miles. This Honda is what is called a no mileage bike. This is a bike for an esoteric collector who not only wants one of the most iconic Hondas built but also wants a bike that distinguishes itself by having no miles. Besides having no miles, it is highly sorted out and “run ready”. This bike uses aviation fuel to keep the fuel system clean and is on a trickle charger and would be ready to travel from New York to California and back again but would be highly not recommended as it would remove it from the low mileage category. There are no apologies needed for this bike and if you are an extremely serious collector or have an extremely important motorcycle collection this could be the Christmas present that you know nobody is going to buy for you and that you have to buy yourself. The current owner purchased this bike from the original owner so it is only a two owner bike and as these bikes increase in value, a no mileage bike will increase exponentially faster than all the others. This is a bike that you can bid to win and be happy that you did. It also comes with an original piece of Honda turbo 650 literature. Period road tests will show that top end is 140 miles.
