Up for bidding a very COOL 59 apache fleetside!! I bought this pickup 3 years ago, DROVE IT HOME 120 miles with no problems. It has a 5 lug conversion front hubs and different rear end with great highway gearing drove down hwy. at 65-70 mph. This truck is in very original condition I think, including being a real factory Turquoise paint truck built in Oakland Ca. After driving and enjoying this truck for a year or so, I found myself not having the time to go to local cruise nites or car shows ect. anymore. It began to sit not being driven. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I went out started the truck drove it to my shop, noticed the carb, was leaking badly. Not sure if float was stuck or what, so I bought a brand new carb. (problem solved) . Then I replaced all fluids; oil, transmission, rear end, antifreeze, hoses, belt,thermostat, fuel pump gaskets. Jack and tire tool, check out the very cool vintage Az. lic. plate solid copper!! Headlight high/low beams work as do tail,brake lights, high beam indicator light, wiper. I love the original factory turq. paint even on the firewall with factory assembly line stencil marks. I removed the seat and floor mat and marked the only rust holes w/ yellow marker , so you the buyer can see just how little rust is in the floorpan. Has original style gauges, radio, dash-vent knobs, "guide" interior courtesy light lens, all of the glass is LOF factory original. Factory seat is in useable condition, both doors close latch and lock with key as does the glove box, and ignition also locks. Hood latches and opens easy, windows roll up and down (driver a little sticky) wind wings work. 283 V8, 3sp. runs and shifts right, brakes redone and work drives great turns and steers good. The driving of this truck is good it drives like it should, has a little play in the wheel but I have not tried adjusting the steering box. 2- motor 283 fires right up with 2 pumps of the gas pedal, pull the choke. The new carburetor has not been dialed with a vacuum gauge, and would be good ideal to tune up with a dwell setting, gapping plugs,set the timing. this is a thing I do not have the proper equipment. Clutch shudders a bit but seems to be less and less each time its drivin, I have only drivin it maybe 5-7 miles since the new carb and freshening up. This is a good driver.
