1962 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia This is a complete nut & bolt, body off, professionally fully restored Karmann Ghia with mild customizations to give it a very cool California Custom look. To include, modifications to the front fenders enabling the classic Porsche 356 (Type 1) headlamp assemblies. A new adjustable narrowed front beam with disc brakes. It stops on a dime. The wheels are painted the same color as the roof with a beauty rings the car has a very nice stance; however not too low, takes speed bumps with no issue. A complete professionally rebuild on original 1600cc dual port motor (2400 miles) 12 volts freeway flyer transmission , new clutch, transaxle, shocks etc .. etc. ..... custom one-off T-bars & exhaust system - made from a VW thing exhaust Every chrome piece was re-chromed. All electronics, gauges and lights work. The original clock was was sent back east to a shop to change it to a tach - see pics Original Volkswagen glass in excellent condition. This Ghia is extremely clean, very organized throughout with exceptional detail, well maintained and always garaged with cover. The ghia does have tunes, you can see the two speakers with the white plug. plugs right into your iPhone , iPad etc. etc. to play your music The foot gas pedal is just a cover- it can be taken off very easily , the original gas pedal is underneath. Clear CA title is in hand. - registered till March 2018 with restored original yellow 1956 California license plates with 62 tags The car is very solid and can be a daily driver, also nice enough for any car show. . It drives super nice!! Gets thumbs up everywhere It's like a go cart ,80 mph down the freeway no problem. 30mpg The car was taken down to bare metal and repainted in original color. Roof - blue white Body - pacific blue The interior was re-done in original material & colors all the way down to the German weave carpet. It also has German weave carpet floor mats.
