For sale is a 1986 BMW R80RT. This bike was purchased several years ago with the intent of a minor restoration project including returning it to stock with the RT fairing, bags, etc. The previous owner did a lot of n'interesting' things to the bike. You will see what I mean in the pictures. Basically it was stripped of all the RT parts to give it more of a 'cafe' look. A lot of parts have been removed (rear fender, mirrors, etc) and several parts have been painted black or silver (engine, chassis, etc). Exhaust is not stock and likely needs to be replaced. Fuel lines (near petcock) leak but it is an easy fix. That said, I do have the vast majority of the RT parts needed to return it to stock including 2 sets of hard bags. Everything in the pictures is included. The bike does start reliably as long as the battery is charged (likely needs to be replaced). It wouldn't take much to make it ride-able. I really don't know much else about this bike because I never did anything to it except ride it around the block once and park it in the garage for 2 years.
