The Polaris Slingshot is a 3-wheeler which is produced by Polaris Industries. It was first released in the 2015 model year with many improvements made in 2016. It is offered in base and SL variants. The SL trim features a standard windshield, bluetooth stereo with backup camera and bigger wheels. Although it is considered a motorcycle in most states, it has a steering wheel, 5 speed manual transmission, 2 bucket seats and many other car-like features. This particular low mileage example was purchased for corporate marketing use and immediately went to Pearls & Pigments in Houston, Texas to have the exterior painted panels (originally red) plasti-dipped in neon green. The interior painted panels were wrapped in hot pink, as per the company’s colors. The wheels were also plasti-dipped in matte black from the standard polished metal finish. The plasti-dipped exterior and interior wrap are easily removable and we will gladly do so at the buyer’s request, however, the color scheme is so brilliant, that we assume the buyer will want to keep it. It really stands out! The only other modifications including the addition of battery terminals in the storage compartment behind the driver’s seat for easy access to a trickle charger and removable seat covers to prevent fading of the seats. There are no dents, dings scratches or chips of any kind and the plasti-dip has served as an extra layer of protection for the paint underneath. The vehicle has hardly been driven since new and the first service was completed in April 2017 along with a few recalls that required addressing. It was properly broken in, never tracked and everything functions as it should. It is a blast to drive and a very different open air experience than anything you’ve ever driven. The 4 cylinder engine produces just the right amount of power and provides for great fuel economy in the city or on the highway.
