1996 Pontiac Firebird - 3.8 V6 - 109,099 CarFax Documented Miles - No Accidents! New York State Residents Please Understand Your Restrictions When Bidding On This Vehicle. Excellent tires, brakes and stereo system.Tranny was just rebuilt and comes with a 90 Day Warranty.The vehicle was inspected in January 2017 with 108,300 miles, so when I had the tranny rebuilt for $1,495.00 (car did not move), I assumed it would pass inspection.Apparently the inspector overlooked a couple problems.In NY State wetness or sweating around the power steering system is grounds for failure.There is no pooling or dripping so it's not a major issue.I have not had to add power steering fluid to the vehicle.Although the car runs and drives like new, the upper control arm bushing has minor wear and play.Two tie rods have some play in them, and the left front wheel bearings have very minor play in it.Those front steering components are not really a big deal, but replacing a wet weepy power steering rack is not cost prohibitive and not really necessary.Computer monitors did reset after driving the car 25 miles.This car goes to the highest bidder in "As Is" condition.No Reserve!No Buy It Now!Please Don't Ask!Body is nice with minor clear coat issues - overall body and paint is very good and presentable.Bid with confidence and drive it home.I can not guarantee or warranty the car other than the transmission. Because it will not pass NY State inspection ... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. When a car is sold as “Parts Only’ or “Salvage” it must pass a NY State “Salvage Inspection”. This is done to keep rebuilt wrecks that are unsafe off the road – especially vehicles with frame damage or airbag deployment. My cars are rarely rebuildable wrecks and therefore will easily pass this strict inspection process when the problem that is advertised is corrected. There are about 10 to 15 NY State salvage inspection sites in NY State – 2 or 3 are on Long Island and there are a couple in NY City. Call me for further clarification. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
