Vehicle Detail
1966 Honda CA100 Vintage Scooter C50 50cc The winning bidder on this turned out to be a "winner" and did not pay for the bike. I'm relisting it in hopes someone else will buy it. I'm doing it as a "buy it now" to avoid the problem of someone winning and then just immediately sending me a "cancel" request with no explanation. I also want to add to the posting that I do not have a "title" and never had one. In Massachusetts you can just register the bike as a moped and ride it without presenting a "title". If there is a process I can assist with in getting the buyer a clean title, I'm happy to help, but I won't spend a ton of time nor any money on this. So understand that I can give you a copy of the prior "Massachusetts registration" with my name etc. on the paper, but nothing that says "title". I can easily give you a "bill of sale" for the bike with the VIN number and anything else you want. I mention all this as some people wrote me asking if I had a title. Ebay does not offer an option for "no title" so I had to pick "clear". Again, I do not have a title. The previous post follows: Hi there. I can't believe I'm selling this but I do not ride it much at all and I want to get it to someone that will enjoy it as much as I have! It is a 1966 year model. Look at the pictures very carefully so you know exactly what you are buying. There are NO refunds! I bought this from a person that had it stored in their barn many years ago. It was dirty and had definitely not been used for a long time. I cleaned it up and it basically started right up! I've been enjoying every year since then and have had it registered until this year. The bike starts up quite easily. Sometimes on the first kick but certainly within 5 or so. You prime it with the push button primer, put it on choke, and it starts! I have not taken it for a ride in about a month, but the last ride was just great, like all the others. So this is obviously a piece of Honda history. I hope you buy it and keep it in great shape as a collector item or as I have done, to preserve it and ride it for fun now and then. I will try and describe is as best as I can but you need to rely on the pictures and understand this is a 1966 bike that has not been "restored". It is basically "original" so it's not perfect by any means. In general, it is in fabulous shape (I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it's fabulous). The biggest disappointment is that the white shield has a crack. This could be patched by removing it, fiberglass it, and paint it. Or you can buy a new one as I see them listed on ebay. But you do NOT have to do anything. It's just cosmetic. The muffler has wear as you can see, but again, not critical. It works perfectly. One of the handle grips is worn a bit, but again, functional and not really a big deal at all. See the pictures for the seat tears and condition. Again, buy a new one, or get it reupholstered, or just use it as I do! There is definitely rust on the bike as you will see. Surface stuff for the most part but again view the pictures. I want to be sure you are happy with the purchase so look closely at the pictures and email me any specific questions before you bid on it. Again, it is sold "as is" and I'm doing my best to be clear on what you are getting. It is for local pickup only. If you want to have it shipped, I will do my best to work with you to help, but you have to make ALL arrangements for it and pay ALL shipping costs. I want it gone within 2 weeks of the sale date so be sure you know how to have someone pick it up for you before you bid. Thanks for looking at it and I hope you win it. It's VERY sad for me to let it go, but it is time. Good luck!
