1952 BMW R-Series

'52 BMW R67/2 with factory sidecar. This bike was brought back from Germany in 1975 by a friend when he got out of the army. This was his ride in Germany while stationed there. Not sure of the actual mileage., as we have no way of verifying. The speedo is in kilometers. This has been sitting for almost 20 yrs in a garage and will require work to make running and road worthy. I personally rode in the sidecar of this very bike about 25 yrs ago. Talk about a strange feeling! This is a neat old bike, and will make someone a cool old cruiser. I don't know how to identify if it a Steib or not. Feel free to call me. I have a pic of that tag that I can send from my phone. I was personal friends with the deceased former owner since the mid 70's. I'm a licensed dealer in Ma , and am handling the sale for brother as he does not live in the area. Please ask any and all questions you have. I want the potential buyer to know as much as possible about this very rare, and unique bike. Motorcycles aren't my area of expertise, but I am more than willing to learn and to help pass on any info. I've already been educated by a few people who have been kind enough to ask the right questions and pass back info to me. My best guess is that this bike has been unused in about 15-20 yrs. I do know that the owner had become involved in some more modern bikes, and this probably took a back seat to that interest. I've had a few questions regarding matching #'s The motor and the frame are matching and the # is 613197. The ID tag on side car is a BMW tag and has a # of 51635 and it also states that it was manufactured in 1952. The motor does turn over and is not seized. This bike was stored in the same dry garage since it was brought back from Germany in 1975. Please feel free to call me with any and all questions. There are also some brand new tires that are for the sidecar, that will be put inside the sidecar itself when shipped or picked up. I even have the registration from when it was registered in Germany! Also have registration from when it was 1st registered here in the states, along with later registrations and tax bills.
