Vehicle Detail

1965 Honda CB160. Runs and rides good. Totally rebuilt engine with new pistons (.5 over)/rings/seals/gaskets. I haven't really ridden it hard yet, so the engine probably still needs to be broken in. It tends to smoke for about 15 seconds on a cold startup, but then goes away when warm. Honda CL160 pipes. Aftermarket seat, handlbars, and taillight. New spokes, alloy wheels, tires, battery, throttle/front brake cable, air filters (UNI), horn, mirrors, chain, sprockets, etc. The paint is a single stage urethane black, which is fuel resistant, durable, and I think mimics the stock paint pretty well. It's not perfect or insanely glossy. The pitted chrome on the gas tank side covers was removed, which left kind of a neat brushed metal look. The covers over the air filters/battery are also brushed metal. Gas tank is sealed with red-kote (works great!). The bike isn't perfect, but pretty nice and fun to ride! Idles nicely when warm and revs up very smooth. History: My father purchased this bike over 15 years ago. It was in pretty rough condition (the engine was frozen) and it sat in the garage for several years before I tackled the project. The engine was torn completely down (including bottom end) and inspected. The cylinders were bored to a 2nd oversize and valves were lapped by a professional mechanic. The engine was rebuilt with all new gaskets, seals, pistons, and rings. Negatives: The bikes leaks some oil out of one of the camshaft oil seals (behind points plate). There is a chip/crack in the paint on the rear fender (photo). Part of the front fender was bobbed (cut off) by the previous owner. Instead of hunting ebay for an unmolested fender, I went with it. The end of the rear fender was also partly trimmed by the previous owner (no idea why). The CL160 exhaust pipes aren't that great. The chrome was very pitted, so I removed the chrome and painted them black. There is also a small dent in one of the pipes. Original CB pipes are very hard to find! Collector's plate and clear WA title. Pay upon pickup 1965 Honda Cb160 Running - YouTube Video will open in a new window [isdntekvideo]
