Vehicle Detail

2002 - Z06 CORVETTE STINGRAY If I was to say that this was the lowest mileage 2002 Z06 Corvette in America, everyone would lash out at me, so I’ll just say that I would have to think it’s one of the lowest mileage cars in the country. I’m not sure how you go about describing a Corvette that is 16 years old and has just over 1,700 miles. The car is in super nice condition, with no significant defects that I can tell. I bought the car from the original owner here in Colorado (a very dry climate) with 400 miles in 2004, and I have kept it covered and garaged every day since. I always smile to myself when I read an ad that says a car “has never seen the rain or snow”, but I really don’t think this Vette ever has. The steel and rubber tubing in the engine compartment still has the original factory paper tags on them. The tires are original and still have the rubber nubs on them too. I have never had to do any mechanical, interior, cosmetic or paint repair to the car. It still smells brand new to me! The Z06 was Corvette’s high performance model in 2002 and it was considered one of the fastest production cars in the world at the time. By today’s standards the car still handles and performs beautifully, and at 405 HP it’s not for the faint-hearted… The car has been started on a regular basis and always run to full operating temperature. I moved it around my garage and up and down my long driveway to keep things lubed and operating properly. I still have the original advertising literature and VCR tape that came with the car as well as a top quality car cover. The only parts ever replaced on the car are the battery and the wheels. When I replaced the grey wheels with the chrome versions in 2004 for approximately $2000, they were represented as the finest wheels available for the car, and they have held up beautifully over the years. The visual improvement between the grey and the chrome on a double-black Vette is stunning. The car starts, idles, runs, sounds, and performs great - but what would be expected from a Corvette that has 1,708 original miles on it. Finally, I hope the photographs depict the car well as they were in fact taken with a cell phone a little over one week ago. If I can answer any questions about the car please feel free to send me your phone number and I will be glad to call you directly. Thank you, Charlie
