DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON PAYING!*** Up for auction is a rare one of a kind 1997 Honda Prelude. This car has not been modified in any way and is a one owner car. For the last twenty years it has been serviced at the same Honda dealership the vehicle was purchased from. That is why there is a picture of the battery showing it is a Honda dealer battery. Amazingly, this car has only 46,300 mile and reflects that mileage in the cosmetics and mechanics. Timing belt was replaced a year ago just as a maintenance repair. This was recommended by the dealership to do because of the age of the vehicle. At that time new tires were put on the vehicle as well (that was when we finally replaced the factory tires for new ones, so this is only the second set of tires this car has seen). There is absolutely NO dents or dings. Not even a small door ding that you can only see when you look at it right in the sun. It has been stored in a garage where it was protected its whole life. Air conditioning blows ice cold, heat blows hot, cruise control works, sliding sunroof works perfect, no lights are on on the dash. Other options the vehicle has that ALL work flawlessly are power windows, power locks, and a factory stereo. Equipped with a manual transmission that shifts through all the gears smoothly. No grinding or stubborn gears. You can tell the synchronizers in the transmission are still in great shape as they show no sign of resistance or noise. Clutch feels great and works just as it should. The interior is in showroom condition with still a factory smell. It has never been smoked in or had any pets in it. I don't have one bad thing to say about the interior of this car as it has been preserved since the day this car came off the assembly line. Has the original jack, tools, and spare tire in the trunk as you can see from the pictures. The trunk looks as if no one ever opened the trunk. There are a few blemished that come with age. This is a beautiful car but I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting. It still has the original exhaust from the manifold back. Most of it is in good condition but there is a small pin hole leak in the pipe between the muffler and catalytic converter. I believe this is something that could be welded up easily. There is also two very small spots of rust starting in the typical spots for these cars. This is superficial rust that can be fixed fairly easy, it just needs attention eventually. I also included pictures of these spots so you the buyer know exactly what you are getting. Overall, this car would be perfect for a Prelude enthusiast. Would be perfect for someones collection or a car that will be reliable for someone and wont break the bank. These cars are notorious for running over 200k miles and this one has just been broken in. As you search the web you will find quickly that it is near impossible to find a prelude in this condition and this low of miles. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
