Vehicle Detail
1997 Toyota Corolla CE (Classic Edition). 1.6L, 5-speed manual transmission. 1-owner and only 85,000 miles in 20 years. This is as clean and low mileage Corolla as you will find anywhere. Paint is spectacular in this color. There are some small imperfections and tiny dings as this car obviously spent more time in parking lots than it did on the road. The 1.6L, 4-cylinder engine is rated at 31 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, this car will make a great fuel sipping commuter. I bought this from a co-worker that was insulted by the dealership trade in offer. Her husband is a college professor - and as a German gentleman - believed that his commuter car should have a manual transmission. According to previous owner, clutch has already been replaced once. Transmission and clutch are smooth and 100%. I put new front brake pads and new drums in the rear. Also new air filter and fresh oil change. I also put new wheel covers on - so the buyer will get 3 additional covers that were on when I bought it. These parts have less than 1 mile on them - and that was only to bed the brake pads. Car is in my garage on a battery tender until it sells. The only issue is that the trunk will not open with the key - but works fine with the pull under the driver seat. I will accept cash (best option) and bank check. However, with a bank check, the car, title, and keys stay with me until I have word from my bank that the funds are available. So if by chance your cashier's check is drawn on the bank I use, this may only be one day. If some other institution, it may be several business days until the car is available for pick up. To be clear - paying with a bank check is totally acceptable, but the car does not go home with you. If you have to go to the bank for a cashier's check anyway, might as well just get the cash. Happy to answer any and all questions. Title is clear and car is ready to go.
