Vehicle Detail
Your chance to own a rare classic! Last of it's kind! This Roadmaster was purchased in 2012 after having only one owner. The AutoCheck/Carfax will state three owners, but the car was purchased by my mother (second owner) then transferred to me (third owner). This car is in pretty good cosmetic condition considering it is 22 years old! Even though the car was purchased in Virginia, I mainly drove it in Georgia where I lived. It has been in Ohio for just over a year. The car is RUST FREE! It has rarely seen snow or ice. I love this car so much, but the time has come to part with it. At this time I don't have the time\money to bring the car up to the standards I would like to see it in. It has some (mainly) mechanical issues, and a few cosmetic issues. Everything I know that is wrong with the car is listed in this ad! I am not withholding any details. At only 89,256 miles this car has a TON of life left in it. You will often see Roadmasters with 200,000 - even 300,00 miles on them! A full inspection was performed on the vehicle in March 2017, and I have the full report for you to view if you would like. Everything in that report is in this ad. Here is a list of known issues: MECHANICAL ISSUES - New tires needed - Oil change needed - Transmission fluid flush\fill needed - Coolant flush\fill Needed - Brake fluid exchange needed - Power steering fluid needs changed - Window washer fluid tank leaks - Oil pan gasket is leaking - Steering gearbox is leaking - Shocks are weak - Driver's side window will not go down - Passenger's side window will not go down - Passenger's side mirror mechanical operation broken - Driver's seat power inop - Driver's side interior door handle loose - Antenna does not go up all the way - Air conditioning will work for about 30 - 45 minutes then blow, but very little cool air comes out. Most likely due to air conditioner freezing up. - After major heating and air work that was done in August 2015, water began to leak from under the glove compartment. This happens after the A/C freezes up and the car engine is turned off. This has caused water to pool underneath the passenger's side front and rear carpet. The picture you see I have uploaded is of the passenger's rear floor carpet that has been discolored due to this issue. The other picture you see is the water actually dripping inside care under glove box onto passenger's side carpet. You will see lots of water dripping from under the car after the A/C freezes up and the car engine turned off. ***TO ME THIS IS THE BIGGEST ISSUE*** - Rarely the car will stutter a bit and sometimes power off after starting it up. It could be a new fuel pump is needed? Not sure because it doesn't do it that often. Once it gets going there are not issues. COSMETIC ISSUES - Radio volume knob missing (but you can still control volume) - The faux half convertible vinyl roof piece has tiny rips in it. It also has become discolored to to age and weather conditions. A close-up picture has been included for you to see this. - A few tiny paint chips have occurred on hood due to age\wear - The rear right side bumper has some bigger paint chips missing - Passenger's side exterior mirror has been scraped (picture included) - Engine and trunk light need replaced - As mentioned above, front and (mainly) rear passenger's side carpet is discolored due to interior A/C leak WORK THAT HAS BEEN PERFORMED SINCE PURCHASE IN 2012 - New radiator (Summer 2012) - Cooling fan, coolant flush fill, new thermostat, new heater core, new radiator cap (August 2015) - Front Brake Pads (September 2015) - New battery (April 2016) - One new idler arm (May 2016) - Serpentine Belt (April 2017) - Car had regular oil changes and tire rotations up until Spring\Summer 2017 If you need any further info, have anymore questions, or would like more photos of something, please let me know and I will be glad to email them to you! This is a full disclosure of all known issues. Please note that I do drive the car around town, so the mileage will go up a bit. If you win auction, a $500 deposit is required within 24 hours. YOU are responsible to come pick up the vehicle. I will accept ONLY certified\cashiers check from a bank. CLEAR Ohio title is in hand.
