I have for auction a 1965 DKW Violetta, MODEL 158, 48cc German made motorcycle. This bike runs very good, and it is street legal and licensed for the street in Arizona. The paint is faded but the chrome is nice. There has been a lot of work done to this bike including: new grips, reupholstered seat, tires, tubes, carburetor, updated charging system, cables, brake/tail light, fuel tank has been cleaned, etc. This is the only running DKW I've ever seen, and it runs great! 3 speed trans shifts smooth, starts after a few kicks when cold, and first kick when warm. Has original key for storage compartment and fork lock. Chrome is in very good shape. This is an Arizona bike, so nothing more than slight surface rust, and not really much of that. Bike will come with a repair manual (in German), and a disc containing the owners' manual and all of the work that has been documented. I have the front fender chrome trim, but it is not installed yet. Bike has no leaks. It is a 2 stroke so you will have to mix the gas. Only 1860 miles! Headlight, tail light, and brake light all work, and are A/C (no battery required). Has a clear Arizona title. The bike is located in San Tan Valley Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.
