Vehicle Detail
2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Package For sale because I'm moving in a few months and won't have the space I have now. This is literally the safest car on the road. Not only would it withstand a crash but it's built to drive over curbs, go off-roading, etc. The demands placed on the vehicles in service can be very tough so these are all built that way. Very cool vehicle in an era that will never return, the big rear wheel drive V8 police cruiser! Just to get this out there early, if I get the sense you're purchasing this to impersonate law enforcement or do other bad things with it, I will not proceed with the sale. Please realize that you will get some extra attention when you drive around in this thing, good and bad. You'll experience people driving like they should drive (not like a**holes) and you'll get the right of way at lots of stop signs. You will also, however, get a second look from law enforcement who will do their best to make sure you're not acting like a fool. As long as you're driving normally you'll be fine. Don't play cop in this vehicle.~147,000 miles with 3,099 engine hoursWHITE - has been previously repainted so the paint is nice and shiny however it does have some minor wear and tear from it's life as a Dallas County Constable vehicle.Dark tinted windows (but legal, it passes inspection)2 small holes in front bumper where the push bar used to be (was removed when I bought it)Engine runs really strongA/C is cold, recharged it once this summerTransmission slips a bit once it's hot. It's a known issue with these vehicles, at some point the transmission will need to be rebuilt or replaced, long before the engine will need it. I put a container of Lucas Transmission Fix in it and it did wonders so you may just need to drop the pan, change the fluid and filter, refill with transmission fluid AND Lucas Transmission Fix (I wouldn't use straight fluid) and you may get many more miles out of it, I don't know. If I had to guess and was keeping it personally I'd say within the next 25k miles I'd have to do some work to the transmission. There are a bunch of minor things I fixed and replaced when I bought it, because they weren't working or were in poor condition: (work done at 145,716)New serpentine belt (general maintenance)New ABS module (ABS doesn't work without it)New clock spring inside steering wheel (horn didn't work)New HVAC blower motor (blower didn't work)New coil on plugs (general maintenance)New spark plugs (general maintenance)New air filter (general maintenance)Replaced the windshield wipers (general maintenance)Recharged the A/C system (general maintenance)New headlights (old ones were yellow)New bulb and lens for the spotlight (old one was yellow)Comes with a jack but does not come with a spare tire. Spares for this vehicle can generally be found fairly often on Craigslist, or if you go to any Rent-A-Tire they will be able to give you something that will fit this vehicle for cheap. Any questions, please let me know. Happy to meet up so you can view the car if you're local. Sold as-is. Thanks for reading.
