Because of a recent new vehicle purchase, my pride-and-joy, a showroom-condition black-on-Atacama 2004 V70R station wagon with only 63K miles is now for sale. Features include a 300 horsepower twin-intercooled 5 cylinder engine, Atacama leather, adjustable suspension system for Comfort/Sport/Advanced modes, heated seats / climate package, retractable cargo cover, 18" PEGASUS wheels, sliding sunroof, premium air conditioning system, in-dash CD changer, 20% tint all around except front windshield, and more. I purchased this classic three years ago from Hendrick in Kansas City. The car was previously owned by an elderly couple who seldom drove it; it has been garaged its entire life, seldom driven in bad weather, never raced, tracked, or even driven hard, and is absolutely stunning in person. The car is 100% stock with no modifications done to anything anywhere at any time. I didn't care for the look of the original 17" wheels, so I sold them and installed a set of OEM 18" Pegasus rims wearing Continental Sport rubber. Two have been replaced over time, so the fronts have about 30% tread left and the rears around 50-60%. The paintwork is in outstanding condition with absolutely no rust or fading to speak of. There are some minor scratches and door dings here and there that I could not get to show up on camera, and there is a small key scratch in the black plastic trim on the front bumper and extends a few inches towards the grill (see photo). Shortly after I bought the car, I had a fiberglass reinforced plastic sport lip installed on the front bumper. It has survived the occasional curb scrape, parking lot bumpers, etc., but please note that it has some stress cracks, chips, etc. Inside, the Atacama is in excellent condition as you can see in the photos and still retains some of its new smell, and I don't believe anyone has ever sat in the back seat. Driver's seat shows some minor bolster wear, but it still looks and feels great. The car was never smoked in. Mechanically, there are no real issues to speak of, no warning lights, etc. The car was maintained by Hendrick Volvo up to 38,000 miles, and following my purchase, Neil Schrepel at Ecotech Import Auto Service on Watson Rd. in St. Louis has performed all maintenance and services which are current, and I have all records, as do they. The angle gear seal is dry, fluid levels are checked at every oil change, 60K service has been done, the left rear wheel bearing has been replaced, and the fuel pump recall has been addressed. Please note, however, that the timing belt has not yet been done. The owner's manual calls for this procedure at around 100K miles; however, because the car is now 13 years old, it would not be a bad idea to have it done in the near future. When I bought the car, because of its exceptional mileage and condition, Hendrick was able to sell me their dealer-backed extended warranty which covers major mechanical components which is good through October 2018. The vehicle's structure is sound. Please note that there is one accident being reported to CarFax which took place over a decade ago. Before I bought the car, I confirmed with both the previous owner and a reputable body shop that this incident involved VERY minor damage in the form of a scuff / some scratches to the passenger side rear when an offending vehicle did not properly clear the rear end while backing out of a parking space. Even though the extent of damage was below the reporting threshold, the police were called and a report filed for insurance reasons, hence the report on CarFax. I have the clear title in hand, but there is a loan on it through my credit union. As such, all payments have to clear my bank first before I can release the title or vehicle.
