I listed the Corvette and it sold last Sunday night to eBay member 'brianharr1" for 6100.00. The next evening he contacted me and said that "something came up". He only has 5 feedbacks and eBay promised they would explain to this member that bidding on eBay is not a game. I bought this car a few months ago from Arizona. owner there said it was a local car. He installed a freshly built 400 c.i. small block with a cam and special heads . Converted the 350 turbo to a manual shift auto but can auto shift by putting a valve body back in. New exhaust, tires and wheels, starter, flywheel , A/C ( that he said just needs charged ) And carb. The car starts, runs, steers, stops and I have enjoyed driving it around town the past few months. It has been garaged when not being used. I have not taken it above 3,000 rpm and break in oil was just changed out. I had my mechanic start switching out the cork gaskets to better ones. Oilpan gasket is in and I bought better (I do not like cork) tappit cover gaskets that come with the car. Mechanic said block-of plate gasket for fuel pump needs tightened or sealed. Car gets around just fine and I have enjoyed it. Wipers work and headlights came (passengers side was slow) and went down the one time I tried them. Car has a custom stereo system. Seats and door panels are good but dash has a few cracks. a new dash cap is about 100.00. steering is tight and breaks stop me in traffic. Sold as a very drivable project. The 5350.00 buy it now is well below what has been invested but it will not be cheaper in a relist and it cost me nothing to leave it in the garage.
