Vehicle Detail
Here is a very rare 650cc 1954 Triumph PRE UNIT T110. It is currently registered in AZ. The engine # does not match the registered 1954 T110 frame # but it is a 1954 T110 engine. It has many rare parts such as the original 8 inch GP front brake with the PIE CRUST HUB and the original swing arm that uses the same rear brake as the rigid bikes. This bike is a one year only transition from rigid to swing arm models. Most parts are original but some are repop from ACE CYCLES in England and some look original but are from other years. Front Wheel is a Dunlop MADE IN ENGLAND WM2-19 used but in very nice condition. Rear Wheel is a Jones MADE IN ENGLAND WM2-19 W79a used but in very nice condition. Tires are Dunlop K70 3.25-19 front and 3.50-29 rear made in Japan. Stainless spokes and lacing by Bucannon. Engine was in excellent condition with a perfect std. crank. Crank was disassembled and the sludge trap cleaned. Rods were checked and big ends and bushings were in perfect condition. Cylinders were bored and new pistons installed. Head was rebuilt with new Kibble White 1 1/2 valves, guides and springs. RUNS PERFECTLY Magneto and generator were rebuilt by Keith Williams in Florida. Speedometer was rebuilt by Joel Lavine Co in Georgia and works fine Transmission had a very nice set of close ratio gears and needed nothing more than a shifting cam and bearings. Shifts like a knife through butter Clutch is a combination of good used and new parts and works great. Both chains are new. Rear sproket is missing one tooth. Has no affect on anything. The seat is a new repop and has one little tear that you would probably never see if I didn't tell you. Rear fender was in very nice condition needing only paint. Front fender is an ACE repop. The bike has the center stand and it works perfectly. The frame does have the lug mount for the side stand, usually broken off, but it wont clear the exhaust pipe. I think it has the wrong left side pipe but the center stand is more stable anyway. It would work fine with the two into one or hi pipes. ACE classics is a fountain of info on these things and a great source for parts. Tank was slightly damaged on the left side and was repaired by an old body man using real led. NO BONDO Carb is a new Amal concentric 928/300 PREM This bike starts on the first kick almost every time and runs great. I'm 76 years old and not up to riding any more. My back is bad and I'm not stable enough to put it up and off the stand so I won't be riding any more. I finished it over a year ago and it only has 7 miles on the odometer. There are two things that will need to be addressed. #1 I went the cheep way with the brake linings. I should have bought the British brakes and had them fit to the drums. The brakes aren't real good on these old Brit. bikes anyway so you need to use the best you can. #2 The amp gauge doesn't show charge. I sent the generator back to Keith Williams to check out and it worked perfectly. I suspect it is the electronic regulator. This is not a problem unless you want to ride at night. The battery lasts for months if all you use is the brake light. Please contact me if you want more info. I have tried to describe the bike as best and accurate as I can but there are always ??? so please contact me. This bike is being sold at auction as is where is and has no warranty of any kind. Full payment MUST be made and cleared by my bank before the bike leaves. Please call me at 928-468-0046
