For Sale is my Fjord Blue 1976 BMW 2002 with 4-speed AND 5-speed manual transmission. What?!! Yep. Read on. The VIN is 2370628. As of this writing on August 2, 2017, it shows 00207 miles on the Odometer… …I believe its only been turned over once (but don’t quote me on that). The engine has been pulled from the car, and has been disassembled (in order to be rebuilt). All pieces are accounted for & anally cataloged. I even acquired an E12 head to mess around with compression options. In the car sits the original 4-speed transmission. But also included with the sale is a 5-speed Getrag transmission. The GOOD : · Um, it’s a 2002!! · Most of the body panels are fairly “clean” and straight. New passenger door will definitely be needed, and some rust spot cleanup. · The interior isn’t too bad at all. Front seats will need refinishing, but other than that, there isn’t a single crack in the dashboard. · The sale comes with many new parts · The original shop manual and tools exist, and come with sale!! The not-so-GOOD : · This "warning" goes without saying, but again, the engine is pulled, so it's merely a “rolling chassis”. Bid accordingly, as you’re going to need to trailer the thing off the property. The burning question… …Will I “part it out”? No. I want it (and all of the pieces) gone. I’ve got WAY too many projects going on, and need to “thin the herd”. YOU can “buy it cheap”, and part it out yourself. Again, this is a great example and project car for someone to hopefully enjoy for many years to come. The car is located in Maple Valley, WA (near Seattle). No “tire kickers” – serious bidders only. I prefer to deal with in-person transactions, but will entertain vehicle transport (if arranged by the buyer). Transport will need to come to my residence to pick up the car, and payment for the vehicle will need to be in full prior to car being loaded onto the transport.
