Hello... I am selling this 1975 International Scout II for my dad. The scout is located in Colville WA. If you are looking for a Scout II to restore, this just may be the one for you. As far as Scouts go...this is a very solid and rust free example. Very minor rust on this cute Scout. Here's some information from my dad's experience with this Scout. 1975 Scout. 4 spd. 304 V-8. has A/C set up (factory installed compressor removed, comes with rig. Replaced electronic distributor with improved system. Good 4X4 components, everything works as it should. Good clutch, brakes and drivetrain. Ignition key is stuck in tumbler but still works as is. All glass is good. Interior lights work, good heater, good wipers. New shocks. Driver door keyed lock is missing. I drive it at normal hwy speeds with no issues. Drives straight. New carburetor...2300 Holley 2 bbl. Good cooling system. The rig sat for over 12 years. I flushed the tank with seafoam and new non-ethanol gas. It is idling much better as I drive it. Engine runs good on highway and higher idle...the carb still needs attention...tuning and vacuum lines. Engine smokes some down hills. I am not sure if valves need done...or heads need rebuilt....I have not taken it to a shop. The timing may be off....It is just not exactly right at the moment. Will need more tinkering to get it purring. Everything under the hood is original except the new electronic distributor. Has front disc brakes. Rear deck is solid. Had some surface rust so I treated with rust some. Some rust in driver floor near door and passenger floor and a bit behind seats. Rest of body is rust free. Tailgate works good.....upper rear hatch opens and shuts as it should, however, doesn't lock when closed. Good headliner. Horn doesn't work at steering wheel. Exhaust manifold leaks on driver's side. He put Seafoam in the tank and believes it loosened old gunk in the tank. He noticed lots of gunk in the fuel filter. He is going to change fuel pumps again and put a new fuel filter in. He says it made a world of difference. It is starting and idling like it should. It no longer smokes like it was doing. He also wanted me to stress the fact that the rear deck is solid. He pulled the mat and knocked off the surface rust with a wire brush then treated it with a rust inhibitor.
