Vehicle Detail
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible. The engine has not run in many years. The car has rust through the floor pans in places and in lower body panels on both sides Spare tire well also has holes rusted through. There is rust along the body seams on the rear deck in front of trunk. Front bumper and front and rear valances have collision damage. Rear bumper is missing. The original color was dark red metallic and it has been painted orange and now red. There is bondo in places but there isn't any evidence of major collision damage. The car drove well and tracked straight when I bought it. The frames under the car are rusty but they look solid with no holes rusted through. About half of the frames still have paint or undercoating on them. The k-frame is rusty but it looks solid. The radiator support frame has a hole rusted through on top passenger side. The convertible top frame and the side windows are in the car. Original front and rear seats go with car but need complete rebuild. Four plastic side panels and four trim strips are included. The trim strips across the trunk are bent-one can probably be straightened-it would be difficult to straighten the other one. I have the heater box and the original Carter BBD carb and they will go with the car. The carb is missing the idle mixture screws. The car has a 7-1/4" 9 bolt axle with a 2.76 gear ratio. It has 10" drum brakes. The hubs have the small bolt circle. I do not have a title. I have a bill of sale from a salvage yard. To get a title in California, the car must pass a smog check, a brake and headlight inspection, and a VIN check. I do not know what it takes to get a title in other states. I will be traveling during the auction and may not be able to answer questions quickly. I will answer any questions before the auctions end.
