2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR - Hard to find, Excellent Condition - One owner, Low mileage (29,444 miles) - Almost stock. I currently own eight cars that I bought new, including a BMW E60 M5, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, two Toyota Land Cruisers, two Porsche 996 GT3s, and two Mitsubishi EVOs (2003 and 2006 models). Each car plays its part. The M5 is a multi-talented well balanced sedan. The Land Cruiser is the most-reliable go anywhere SUV. The Cayenne is the SUV sports car. The EVO and GT3, they are the most driver focused. They are uncompromising. You decide what to do, the car obeys and nothing else. Nothing gets in the way. You are in control. The car gives you complete feedback, and what you do next is up to you. I don't want to sell this EVO - but I have moved and just don't have the garage space as well as the time to take care of it. For the past five years I have been involved in a software development project that will be released very soon - I simply don't have time. A new owner who appreciates this EVO is what I'm seeking. This car has always been in excellent condition. It feels fresh and new when driven. This is probably due to its low mileage (29,444 miles) and my minor but strategic modifications, resulting in moderate increase in horsepower and torque, in addition to improvements in chassis rigidity due to my installation of some structurally enhancing components underneath the body. Naturally, if you substantially increase power and torque (which I have not), the chassis and engine will experience more stress and may lower reliability. For this reason, I opted for only minor modifications. Consequently, a similar EVO with the same mileage as my car, but with much more increase in torque and horsepower due to owner mods, will have experience more stress and beating and accordingly will have much more real mileage than the actual mileage indicate. In the end, EVOs are meant to be modified to some degree, and they are reliable too, but I'm probably just more conservative and prefer more driver control than power. In addition to chassis enhancement mentioned above, I had a shop installed an external boost controller and a free flowing stainless steel exhaust made in Japan that is just loud enough and sounds good too (subjective , of course). The wheels are original and have new set of tires installed. A few days ago, I have a dealer in Arizona do the recalls including a 27-point inspection that dealers usually do. New wipers front and back. I just did the oil change. A few years back I have transmission and differential fluids drained and replaced (so far I haven't located the receipt). Brake fluids, too, but couldn't find the receipt. Also, 4-wheel alignment from Arizona dealer. No accidents, no track days and no floods. Oh, I also had a shop installed a titanium rear strut bar in conjunction with stock suspension. I like the stock suspension since no under steer and stiffer yet compliant ride. There are a few minor scratches and dings on the surface of the car, visible in some of the photos. Despite of that, the car looks stunning and new in person. On the rear driver side of the car, there is a ding on the wheel-arch without paint damage. This occurred when I was parking my other car in my driveway. I will have this fixed for you prior to delivery. I have included a photocopy of the original sticker containing all specs and options included when I purchased this car new (it is shown below).
