For sale is my 1901 Oldsmobile Curved Dash Replica.. This was made by a Company called Merry Olds,Open Air Products located in Ft Lauderdale Florida between 1958-1961. This is a historic piece of crafstmanship in its own right. Somewhere in the early 80's it was converted to a Fire Chiefs Car. It is out fitted with gold leaf and red paint and Maltese cross on door. There is a length a fire hose with a Wooster Brass fire nossle on rear deck. The Fire extinguisher on the deck lid was converted to the gas tank. It holds double the amount of gasoline as a regular model making this the ideal parade Vehicle as it can run for hours before fill up. Ive seen other novelty cars stopping mid parade route to fill with more gas. There is storage under the rear deck lid big enough for waters soda chips great for parades or cruising the Golf Course. The tires are very good shape showing off the pronounced White Walls, the spare tire tube is flat but tire itself is fine. The battery is great , it holds a charge for a long time, great for night parades using the headlights with power left to start the OLDS using the push button start. She moves using a 2 speed forward transmission for slow drives or a bit more brisk 35mph (not for me)while using the orig Clinton engine. The White top is great with no tears or rips, It folds down to be a convertible for open air driving , but it looks better with it up in my opinion. I have many more pictures available that I can send. This comes from a private collection always garaged. I have been driving it up and down my street all week. The kids are cheering as I drive bye and I'm getting many thumbs up from the older crowd. I may be able to send video but we will have to figure that out. The only flaw is a clamp on the pass side leaf spring has a crack (thats it). The Olds weighs appx 600 lbs if top is folded down it should fit in a 5x8 closed trailer but I would go for the 6x12.
