You are bidding on a 1997 Mercedes Benz SL500 40th anniversary edition. There were only 500 built total production, 250 went to Europe and 250 to the United States. This is the rarest R129 platformed model which was built between 1990 and 2002. Much rarer than any AMG or Silver Arrow Edition. Unique one-off features for this model are special designo red paint, 6 spoke Evo 17 inch wheels with larger P245/45R17 tires, special Chestnut Wood interior trim, 40th anniversary stitched floor mats, and monogrammed 40th anniversary portfolio owners manual, and Exquisite leather interior. Everything works as it should engine and drivetrain are great, brakes, tires, and rotors have around 10,000 miles on them. There are no dings or dents. Roof has a slight hazing under the clear coat still shines well you cannot notice it with the top on, and one chunk of paint missing from the corner of the trunk lid. See photos. Comes with a remote start and alarm which will work from two miles away and it is two-way unit. Soft top is less than 1 year old, and hydraulics were recently rebuilt.
