Vehicle Detail
This is a matching numbers car and a true SS.Orginal L48 350 engine (see vin and engine serial number). 10,000 miles since rebuild. Original Muncie M21 4 speedOriginal 4:10 posi track Factory A/C. Not hooked up or functioning.Factory Power Disc BrakesFactory Power SteeringOriginal Tic Tock Tach functioning Original console gauge cluster functioning Factory Vinyl top and coded as original on the build plate. From the body build plate the car was originally green but it was red when I purchased it in '96. I had it repainted in 2003 with '68 Rally Red Factory dual exhaust though headers were added before I purchased it. Same owner the car since 1996 and hasn't been driven it at all in the past six years and very little the past 10. Its been kept inside since I've owned it as did the previous owner. There is no rust in or on the car at all. It's lived it's life indoors and in the desert since 1996. The car runs and drives very well but could use a front end alignment. The exterior is in excellent shape but the interior needs work. The drivers seat is in need of repair, the right rear quarter window does not roll down and might be wired shut from the previous owner. The headliner above the passenger sun visor was chewed by a mouse but is covered by the visor. Some of the trim parts around the rear deck are in a box after the last painter reset the rear window. The center console has a piece of plastic broken next to the rear ashtray. The dash has a few cracks in it from the sun. The car was originally a black houndstooth interior and there are other minor details like an aftermarket stereo and its wiring also still reside in the car from my earlier days. The engine is matching numbers but was not rebuilt to L48 specs. It's been bored out to .40 over, mild hydraulic cam, aluminum intake, 9.1:1 hypereutectic pitons, dual point distributor, and 461 camel hump heads with 1.94 intake 1.50 exhaust. I have the original cast intake manifold and single point distributor that goes with the car. The car has 102,500 miles on it. Car is located north of Winnemucca Nevada. I just don't use it anymore but want to be honest about its condition. The car is very solid and with some interior work and engine compartment paint the car would be show worthy.
