Up for auction is a 1984 Honda Nighthawk S 700SC. I am listing the bike for my brother and the following is his description. I am the original owner and the motorcycle has been garage kept since new. It was ridden regularly until 2009 and then stored in the corner of my garage until I got it back on the road this spring. To get it ready to ride I bought a new battery, new plugs and wires, cleaned out the gas tank, and removed and cleaned the carbs. I have ridden it several times with the longest trip being 30 miles. The bike runs fine at idle and full throttle but the mid-range response is hit or miss so I probably missed something in the carbs or wires. Rather than spending more time to get it running perfectly I decided to purchase a newer sport touring motorcycle so it is finally time to sell the Nighthawk. This would be a great bike for someone that is mechanically inclined or a restorer looking to make a profit. A bit of history - The bike was used almost exclusively for annual trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway (trailered from Indiana) until one year when I misjudged a curve. I missed a trip to the mountains the next year while I fixed the bike to the condition you see in the photos. I then took the bike on two more mountain trips before storing the bike in 2009. You will notice that the odometer is missing as the original was damaged and I was not able to source a replacement that worked. The bike had approximately 35,000 miles at the time of the incident. In terms of condtion, as seen in the pictures, front cowl and instrument cluster damaged (repared by me), 2 dents and multiple scratches to left side of tank, scratches to the small left crankcase cover, rear fender scratched and rear grab handle (repaired by me). Other items on the punch list are front fork seals, front brake pads, and a oil leak around the shifter assembly (fixed several years ago but it is leaking again).
