This is my friends 1969 MGB. She has the rare and highly sought after overdrive transmission with wire wheels and is the very desirable pre 1970 solid chrome bumper year MG.The car also still retains its factory aluminum front hood which is extremely rare for these cars. The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced well below current market value. If you know vintage British cars you know how rare this car is and the factory overdrive makes it all that much more rare. Massive amount of work just done so please take time to read the auction in its entirety. Mechanically: The car runs great and was just serviced along with other major work. The car starts right up with no issues, ticks, smoke or shacking about. The car just had a complete tune up with new ignition wires, spark plugs, oil change, oil filter and the radiator fluid was serviced. Also, a new temp sending unit installed, new gas gauge sending unit installed, new oil pressure switch installed and a new hood prop bar was installed. Car sits on matching high quality Yokohama radial tires for a nice feeling ride. Overdrive Transmission: Yes this car has the rare and highly sought after overdrive transmission. Overdrive works perfectly in both 3rd and 4th gears. Again, the overdrive is working. Electrical's: Very good condition with the following items in working order. Headlights work , front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, windshield wipers work, blower fan works, hazard switch works, and the license plate lights work. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in working order at this time. Interior: The interior is very nice and less than a year ago the following work was completed: New seat covers, new door panels and a new complete front dash where all installed. Last week a new steering wheel, new headlight switch, new chrome shifter retaining ring w/ chrome screws and new MG logo floor mats where installed. Again, very nice and presentable. Exterior: The car is unbelievably straight as seen in the photos. The paint is of a nice quality / standard and was redone about a year ago.. Also, new 6 piece chrome side molding kit, new chrome wiper arms, new chrome wiper blades and a new chrome retractable antenna where all installed just recently. Chrome Wire wheels are wrapped in like new high quality Yokohama radial tires. Note: To complete the car new chrome windshield washer jets and new rear backup lens are being installed next week. Truly a nice driver quality car with sought after overdrive transmission. Again, car also still retains its factory aluminum front hood which is extremely rare for these cars. Soft Top: Soft top is being replaced tomorrow with a high quality Robbins soft top. Please email me if you wish to see photos of her with the new soft top installed.
