I got this 1972 CB450 a couple years ago and did most of the restoration myself. I did take it to an old retired Honda Mechanic who did the majority of the technical work rebuilding the engine. I know he did the valves, one of which was bad. New tires and other rubber pieces. The bike runs great, I just had it tuned and the oil changed. I repainted the tank and side covers red, which is the color the tank was, but side covers were black. As you can see in the photos, the front forks are showing the green color through the black. I'm clueless as to what color the bike was originally, so I went with red. I was meaning to paint the forks black again, but I need to sell the bike before that gets done. I tried to put on the tank hockey stick stripes, but screwed them up. I decided no stripes for now, at $35 a try I didn't want to keep goofing them up. It's a nice bike that runs well, and I know I won't get out of it what I have in it. It only has the mileage on the trip odemeter since the rebuild. The prices on these bikes have gone up a little in recent years, and if your looking for an old Honda, this a great way to get into the hobby with the legendary 450 twin DOHC....On Jun-07-17 at 06:46:17 PDT, seller added the following information: The chrome is pretty good, the only spot that could use a little work is the rear wheel, it has some minor pitting. Front wheel is quite nice, so is the fender. The pictures don't really show it well enough.
