You are bidding on a Volvo 960 is in very clean overall condition and in excellent mechanical and running condition for its low mileage (38,350 as of this date), which is rare for a car of this age. Probably the lowest-mileage 960 available anywhere. Owned by a gentleman in Long Island since new, and bought at auction in Pennsylvania in 2016. According to Carfax, it had a regular dealer service history at a local Volvo dealership (I can supply the Carfax on request). Extensive preventive maintenance has been performed on this car to replace all parts that could possibly go wrong due to age deterioration. Over $2,600 in new parts in this car--all Volvo OEM parts replaced: New timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, idler roller, serpentine belt, radiator and heater hoses, thermostat, heater control valve, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, gas tank filler and related hoses, fuel filter, 2 new foglights, new oil/fuel filter, and 4 new Michelin tires. Body has no rust and interior is in very clean near-new condition. Overall car looks to have been garage kept most of its lifetime. AC and all accessories work fine. This car has been brought completely up to date mechanically, runs and drives like a dream, and is set to be very reliable for a long time to come. As you know, this is the kind of preventive maintenance that any Volvo enthusiast would do for a car of this age, but this work is already done so the next owner won't have to do it. If you’d like to own one of the last of the true big Swedish rear-wheel drive sedans, you won’t find one in as great shape and with lower mileage than this one.
