The next owner brought it to South Florida where it remains today. Over the years I have seen this Olds at a few local car shows and was always amazed that such a low mileage Starfire GT still existed. Recently I had the opportunity to buy this rare car and as a car dealer/vintage car nut, I could not resist. This example has only 49,000 original miles, it includes the owners manuals, window sticker, dealer invoice, original keys and build sheet. 1980 was the final year for the Starfire GT and with only 758 produced it is also the rarest. Hagerty's list these cars as "Extinct". This could be the last or at least the nicest and most original Sunfire GT in existence. I have driven this Sunfire about 50 miles and here's my opinion. It runs good, the AC is cold, the transmission shifts correctly, the exhaust is quiet, the brakes are good and it holds a straight line on the highway. I believe you could drive this car across the country without a problem.
