This is a fantastic car. If you are looking to finance this car, remember it is old, and you would probably need exceptional credit to make this happen. I say this because I have sold this car on eBay and I tried and tried to contact the buyer, and never heard from them. Thus, I am relisting the car. OK, I had 3 Jaguars, and one of my neighbors passed on (2015), and I could not pass up buying it. This is a 1994 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible. I've decided to get rid of all my current Jaguars, and replace a them with a couple of new cars (one will be an F-Pace). I’m getting to old to dink with the older cars, and I do not drive them enough (too many toys, 4 cars and a motorcycle – for two licensed drivers). The vehicle report shows one accident 9/24/2011 (before I got it). When I bought the car, since it was from a neighbor and I drove it, I did not run a Carfax. Frankly, whatever damage was done I could not tell (and still cannot tell today) from the way the car runs and drives. Anyway, this car runs and drives great. Good rubber, good brakes, top works great. All the computers work great. Like most of the old Jags with multiple computers, I keep a trickle charger on the battery. The computers will run down the battery in about a week without driving it. The battery on the car is less than 1 year old. The power windows, door locks, top, AM-FM Radio with multi CD changer, power side view mirrors all work. The AC works. The AC was fixed 2 years ago when I bought the car, but frankly - the XJS (all of them) AC is not that good compared to what I am used to having. Cruise control, convertible top, everything works on this car. The only downside I can think of, the Champaign (another way to say gold) paint is fading in places - you should be able to see that in several places on the photos. I have kept this car garaged the entire I have had it, and I know my neighbor did too - so it must have been someone before us that let it get too much sun for the paint. Also, the emergency break, you must play with a bit to get it to disengage. I think this would be easy to fix, but it has not bothered me enough to get it adjusted. Putting up the top, is a bit more complex than cars today. You must have on the emergency break, the foot break depressed, the car in park, the key turned on, and then raise the top. Some people think this is a daunting task. I have a total of $9108.44 in the car (not including the money spent for maintenance and repairs) and I did use it for the past 2 years. I have spent money every year on the car to keep it in great condition (it is in better shape now than when I purchased it). I have only used synthetic oil and given the car the best I can. I'm setting the price at $4000, no reserve. To me, this car is worth $9000, but I need to get rid of it to make room for the new cars. Also, I am listing this car for $7600 on Autotrader and in the local newspaper, and reserve the right to end this auction in the event it sales.
