Vehicle Detail
Thank you very much for looking at this auction! Up for auction is a 1972 Honda CL175 with a little over 14k miles on it. This sweetheart runs great! Completely gone through. Ready to be a daily rider or display in your business. I am in love with this bike. We all love the old Honda scramblers. I do not know a person that that doesn't. Even if they are not into motorcycles, they still do. Although this bike has all of the classic Honda styling, I had to put my own twist on it. With this bike, I wanted to still keep it factory looking. Nothing wild, nothing crazy. Classic and proper, just like a black suit. The bike was completely tore apart and inspected for any structural damage. This is one of the cleanest bikes I have came across. Everything was in excellent shape. The frame was completely stripped to bare steel then painted in a two part industrial epoxy paint. All of the bearings in the bike were pulled, inspected, cleaned, re-packed, and re-installed. All spokes were inspected and adjusted. Brand new Golden Boy Tires front and rear. They look absolutely perfect on this bike. I am very happy with them. All control cables were either replaced or maintained. No drag in the controls. Brake system (front and rear) were completely gone through..... Everything. New fork seals, fork fluid, and new fork boots. Speedometer and tachometer cables were taken apart, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled. The fuel tank was completely stripped and polished to an excellent mirrored finish. It is properly coated to ensure long life of the polish job and I will provide you with instructions on how to easily maintain this finish. The seat has all brand new high density foam. It is one of the best feeling seats I have sat in. It really holds you in a correct and comfortable riding position while giving you that great style. The front and rear fenders have been obviously modified. The fenders are some of the features of the original scramblers that I never liked. They looked to "soft". The front fender mounted under the triple tree gives this bike a very proper aggressive look. The rear fender was bobbed to have a perfect balance not only with the front fender but also have great lines with the exhaust. A period correct looking tail/brake light was mounted instead of Honda's big, bulky stock rear light. The bike received a complete tune up. Points, plugs, condenser, valve adjustment, timing adjustment, etc... The air cleaners are in great shape. She runs great!! The wiring harness was completely gone through. Any frayed wires, corrosion, or any other faults I could find were corrected. The bike has brand new period correct handle bar grips and new clutch and brake levers. All of the hand controls and lights work. THE BIKE WILL BE SHIPPED WITH TWO BRAND NEW CHROME MIRRORS. Also, I think blinkers will look horrid on this bike. This bike is a 1972. In most states, this old of a bike is exempt from having blinkers. If you win the bike and want blinkers on it, I can mount the big, stock ones back on or some small LED ones on it as well. Your call. This exhaust is some of the best Honda CL exhaust I have seen. If you are familiar with Honda scrambler exhaust, most of the mufflers are rusted out looking like graham crackers. This exhaust is beautiful. Aluminum number plates were added to finish the look for this bike. I love them. They look excellent. Feel free to paint on your favorite number once you get the bike. We all have seen some excellent bikes for sale and some, well.. bikes that look like a crack head built them. I feel like it is important to know where your bike came from so, I will tell you a bit about myself.... I just started to build bikes again. They are my absolute passion in life. To me they are the perfect medium of creation. Art, design, engineering, simplicity and speed. When I got back from Iraq, I bought my first street bike. I became obsessed. One bike turned into a life long pursuit. I started to build bikes for a living. I have included a few pics of my past bikes. The last bike show I entered was put on by the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club. I took home 1st place in AND best of show (pics attached). I became burnt out. I was just pushing too hard and couldn't really enjoy life anymore, at all. I stopped building, sold of all of my belongings, broke up with my girlfriend, and lived out of a backpack for 3 years along with my dog. I focused on my well being and art (pics attached). During this time, I realized that motorcycles and art are my life so I'm back at it. I do apologize that I do not have a website to send you to but to be honest, that is why I am selling this bike....so I can get building again!!!! BikerMetric did a story on me a bit ago...google "BikerMetric, Casey Anderson". The auction will run for 7 days without a buy it now. PLEASE REVIEW ALL PICTURE AND THE DESCRIPTION AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. Once again, only the 1972 Honda CL175 is for auction, none of the other bikes nor art is included in this auction. The motorcycle has a clean Texas title. The motorcycle is located in Corpus Christ, Texas. The winner of the auction is responsible for the pick up and shipping of the motorcycle. I will gladly assist the shippers. No paypal deposit is needed however, payment needs to be made in full within 7 days of the auction's end in the form of a certified check from a bank found across the country such as Chase, Wells Fargo, BOA, etc, etc... no small mom and pop banks. I will overnight you the title, the mirrors, bill of sales, the keys ANNNNNDDDD the stand that I made for the bike. It is absolutely perfect. It holds the bike sturdy as can be. Use it to display the bike with pride!!
