1978 BMW R100/7 Purchased new by present owner May 30, 1979 at St. Paul BMW, of Minneapolis /St Paul Minnesota, and ridden seasonally over the past 38 years. Stored in heated garage when not ridden. Motorcycle is completely original with no modifications. Miles are correct at 31,630. Original paint is in near excellent condition showing little signs of age. There is a small ding on the top of the fuel tank (shown in last 2 photos) indicated by the arrow, but the paint is not broken. The original exhaust system has never been removed and is in very good condition with some small areas of rust showing only on the bottom ends of the mufflers that is only visible from the underside. The original alloy wheels are date-coded 5/77 front and 6/77 rear and are free of pitting or damage. Tires are Michelin both front and rear and are in good condition but should be replaced within a year due to age. All electronics are in fully functioning condition along with the electric starter. The headlight is the original Bosch H4. The engine and transmission show no signs of leaks and are in perfect running condition. The motorcycle comes complete with the full set of tools and tool roll (shown in photo #20) and also the originally equipped Krauser luggage/bags (shown in photos #1,#2, and #16). The title (shown in last photo) is the original title issued to the motorcycle when new and is the title you will receive. Overall and very clean, original unmolested 38 year old one owner BMW in fantastic running order.
