Vehicle Detail
Hello For sale is my 1989 911 porsche 993 speedster project. I stopped just short of having a speedster windshield installed as I could not source one at the time. It was going to be a later project. The intention was to build a light weight 993 speedster on a much more visceral and exiting torsion bar chassis 911. This project is located on a family property north of montreal, quebec, Canada in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. I no longer live there so I would just be helping with shipping. I have a clear Quebec registration in my name ready to transfer ownership. As you can see it is not complete! It has been in storage for over 5 years and I need to sell to help purchase a property. Again, project has been in storage for over 5 years and I have not seen it since then. I am going by memory and will try to describe all items as best as I can. Exterior colour is Porsche Platinum silver. Conversion details- All major body panels are ALL METAL GENUINE porsche parts. -The rear quarters are factory porsche steel 993 turbo quarter panels -Front fenders are 993 turbo steel fenders-Doors are factory steel doors ( this car was to be used on the street so composite doors were not used because of safety concerns) -Genuine 993 door handle- Genuine 993 door mirrors - Cowl converted to 993 wiper system - Front light weight composite 993 turbo bumper ( I do not have fog lights, I was going to put GT2 air ducts in place) - Rear light weight composite 993 turbo bumper ( I do not have tail lights ) - Genuine 993 headlight. Left and right headlight assemblies included - Early 911SC manual light weight convertible top included. May need a new canvas, I don't remember. -Will need a windshield -993 turbo rear decklid composite spoiler ( with genuine 993 turbo deckled grill ) - New tie rods - 911 steel hood- genuine steel 993 turbo rocker panels and 993 jack points -993 oil cooler and fan - Car is sitting on 4 roller long hood wheels - 4 genuine 3 piece SPEEDLINE wheels included. Very rare wheels and fitted for this wide body . Wheels are 100% true. I had them all checked at a wheel shop before dismantling. Wheels are dismantled. Centres need paint. Barrels need polishing. All hardware ( bolts and nuts have been nickel plated ) - Fenders and doors are loosely fitted - Fuel tank is installed -Wiring harness is mostly installed -993 dash is included ( I was going to have this dash redone in leather, there is 1-2 cracks so perfect dash to have redone in leather ) -993 interior door panels ( hi/fi speaker ) Colour is black . -No carpet kit included - Oil cooler lines, oil tank and thermostat installed - 993 wiper mechanism included - 1989 break booster included What you see in the pictures is what you will get. I included one picture of a completed car. That is only for reference, that is what I was trying to build. If you have any questions please ask. I will update listing if I think of anything else I have a lot of time and money invested in this project . Its at the point where it just needs a engine, transmission to be very close to completion. I set the reserve for much less than I have invested in it. Just the paint work, 993 turbo body panels and fitting the body panels exceed 15,000$ I will help with shipping as best as I can. If car goes over seas I can bring to port in Montreal, Quebec. On Apr-28-17 at 18:11:18 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE Hello, I have been asked a number of questions, hopefully the following helps answer them. This 1989 porsche 911 was originally a 3.2 Carrera NOT A 964 chassis. The 1989 3.2L Carrera is the last year of the 3.2 Carrera. Im sure years from now all 1989 models will be very valuable being the last year of the 3.2 Carrera. The VIN# is wp0eb0916ks170754 I do not have the original 3.2 Carrera body panels , engine or transmission ect.... Im Sorry. What I have listed is what I have. If your patient you CAN find a drivetrain at a reasonable price... Just be patient. If someone was motivated to return it to its original 3.2 Carrera body, its completely possible and not that huge of a task. The rear quarters would require some hours of work but the rest is all bolt on. . This 3.2 Carrera chassis is for the most part completely unmodified. Nothing has been modified to the chassis to fit 993 fenders. You simply remove 993 fenders and bolt on the correct 1989 Carrera fenders . You could very easily sell the 993 items, 993 turbo quarter , Speedline wheels and purchase correct 3.2 Carrera items and bolt on original 911 Carrera fenders and bumpers to return it to its original Carrera body. The Doors are correct 911 Carrera items The Hood is correct for 1989 Carrera The rear quarter panels would obviously have to be removed and correct 911 3.2 carrera quarter panels fitted. The Correct Original aluminum G50 trailing arm are fitted. ***The underside of the car has been completely cleaned and painted body colour. The cost for that alone was $1900. It is not dirty, rusty etc.. It was done as nicely as possible while staying within a budget. *** Nothing has been modified to the floor pan , The rear torsion tube or rear cross member. You could also fit body panels from a 1973 long hood and create a backdate 70's style long hood soft top. Many options and directions to go if 993 body is not where your heart is. One thing is certain, it will look amazing and this car is a good solid foundation to build a amazing project and also being the last year of the 3.2 Carrera chassis is somewhat special. Again, I will help ship this car. I will provide a bill of sale and deliver to a carrier, shipper or port but the logistics of the shipment are up to the buyer to coordinate. If you have any questions please ask. Will post a few new pictures. On Apr-29-17 at 10:55:37 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE This project DOES include the convertible top. Its a manual convertible top of a early 911SC which is lighter.
