Vehicle Detail

This is my friends 1966 MGB. She has the rare and highly sought after factory overdrive with wire wheels, solid chrome bumpers, steel dash with toggle switches, desirable stow away soft top and a hard top. The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced well below current market value. If you know vintage British cars you know how rare this car is and the factory overdrive makes it all that much more rare. This a running driving car and is priced to sell. Car is located at my friends house in Stanfield, NC 28163 Heritage: The car appears to be a numbers matching car and you can order a British Heritage Certificate from England or I can do it for you. The cars commission number is GHN3L60294 and the engine number is 18GB-RU-H-14619. The "R" in the engine number is verification that its a true overdrive engine. Mechanically: The car runs great and was just serviced. The car starts right up with no issues, ticks, smoke or shacking about. Holds good oil pressure at about 60+ lbs with no visible signs of any fluid lead leaks or drips at this time. The car recently had a complete tune up with new ignition wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, new air filters, oil change, oil filter, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new fuel pump installed, new exhaust system and the transmission and rear end fluids where serviced. Note: The tires are like NEW radials. Overdrive Transmission: Yes this car has the rare and highly sought after overdrive transmission. Overdrive works perfectly in both 3rd and 4th gears. Again, the overdrive is working. Electrical's: Good condition with the following items in working order. Headlights work , front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work and the license plate lights work. Note: The fan motor works from time to time. Not sure why ( might be the switch ). Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Interior: The interior is in average shape I'd say but you need to be the judge of that. Car sports the sought after steel dash with toggle switches. Note: Seats are not bolted in place at this time but I drive the car with no issues due to this. Exterior: The car is remarkably straight but does need some restoration but looks fine for a driver. The paint is what I'd call driver quality but that's just my opinion. Car just had a complete new front bumper kit installed along with new rear taillight kits with lens, gaskets, chrome tail light surround bezels, new chrome wiper arms and new chrome wiper blades. Car also comes with a NEW complete 6 piece chrome side molding kit ( I've installed the front fender pieces but the new owner will need to install the other 4 pieces ). Again, like new radial tires. Underbody: I really can't get under the car but from what I see she looks to be about average for a 50 year old car but opinions vary. It appears that the floor pans where repaired from the inside at some point. Soft Top: Car comes with a folding soft top frame with a black soft top attached to it. Car also has a folding top frame and comes with a brand NEW in the box RED soft top ( Special Ordered From England ). Hard Top: Yes as seen in the photos the car comes with a hard top. Top needs the lower seals replaced and believe I do have them in a box along with some new and used parts that come with the car. Trunk: The trunk is solid and has a spare tire and wire wheel. Also, the car does come with the original "stow away' top cover frame and the "top cover " / "Tonneau cover support rails. Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed / implied. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt and in "as is" condition. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end timeOn Apr-28-17 at 07:45:39 PDT, seller added the following information: All- There has been much interest on the car with nearly 2000 viewing's of the auction as of this update. Have had many questions on the car so to clear up a few things. Yes the car has met its reserve and is selling this week to the highest bidder. Yes the car is numbers matching with working factory overdrive. Yes the had top comes with the car along with a black folding soft top ( not installed) and a new in the box red soft top. Paint is fair in my opinion but the car should be repainted to really due her justice. Floors do have rust but has been repaired at some point from the inside. No she is not a show car just a simple driver in my opinion. Yes I can send you all the auction photos all you need to do is just send me your email address I'll send them right over. Yes clear North Carolina state issued title. Again, a neat rare car but not without needs. This auction is to sell the car not bid and then decide if you want her so bid accordingly. A $500 non refundable deposit is due at close of auction via PayPal.
