My War Bonnet Yellow Vette is a spectacular driver. I bought the car from the owner of Harbor Corvette restoration in Erie, PA. He did a fantastic job of repainting the car its original unique color. The finish is really beautiful with only one door ding since I have owned it. When I bought the car three years ago, I knew the engine was the original with matching numbers but I did not understand that Harbor had changed the intake manifold and carburetor. I found their modification to make the car run too rich and because they also give the original intake, I had the engine put back to 100% original -- points and all. I have all the receipts for everything I have done since I have owned it. The car runs beautifully and I drive it almost every day in the summer – of course it is properly stored in the winter. My family and I are moving to NYC and I would like to see someone else enjoy the car instead of leaving it in storage. I have double the starting asking price in the car (over $30k between what i purchased it for and putting original engine back to original.). I am trying to given you as much information as possible about the car so you can buy it with confidence. The Pros: · Great repaint of a beautiful striking color· New leather interior and carpet· No cracks in dash· Great suspension, brakes and new tires· Perfect running and reliable· Power windows work very well· Headlamps work well· No fluid leaks of any kind· All gauges including clock work The Cons: · The AC needs work – compressor is there but the belt is not connected. The compressor makes a lot of barring noise· The windshield wipers work on one speed only, but not the washers · The radio is a new original rebuild but still does not get many stations· I have never had the door keys Please let me know any questions you have.
