Brand new $165 battery was put into this vehicle a day before this listing was posted. Motor runs amazing and makes great power. Brakes work great. Vehicle does not go into reverse but drives forward just fine. Transmission needs to be repaired for reverse to work. Rear gate window sometimes does not roll up properly which could indicate a short somewhere or in need of a new window actuator. This vehicle has been sitting for about a year but fired right up with the new battery. No water damage. The motor alone in this vehicle should be worth at least $1500 on the low end. This vehicle could be parted out for a profit, fixed for drivability or used as a donor for another Freelander in need of parts. Although forward gears work fine the vehicle is recommended to be towed or flat bedded to new owners location because the transmission is in a questionable state with reverse not working properly.
