Vehicle Detail
BARN FIND - My father-in-law recently passed away and in the process of liquidating some of his estate we found this Corvette under tarps in the barn on his farm in Western PA. The car was driven into the barn and parked back in 1976 and hasn't moved since. It is completely original mechanically but we believe it was repainted. It has the higher output HT 327 motor rated at 350hp. It has a color matching hard top as well as the soft top. There is no body damage anywhere and the odometer reads 38308 which we know to be correct. Since the car is completely original (save paint??), all numbers should be matching as one would expect with an original stock car. I have not verified this but I have no reason to believe otherwise. My mother-in-law is still living at the farm and she is not aware of any issues or modifications made to this car. This is a perfect candidate for restoration, or just freshen it up and drive it. Buyer may pick up car near Freeport, PA between April 9th and 12th. Other arrangements can be made as well.On Mar-25-17 at 18:30:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Update - I was told by my brother in law that this was the 327-350 motor. I have not been able to independently verify that from looking at the engine code stamped on the block. Based on the tach and valve covers it looks more likely to be a 327-300. more photos here: www dot icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0g5n8hH4D1L77On Mar-27-17 at 13:31:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Bidders with feedback score of less than 25 must get approval before end of auction.
