Selling personal 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. 5.2 V8, 4x4. Owned nearly 10 years and has served us well. The good: Great body with no rust that would ever matter, even underneath Good engine, does not smoke, tick, tap, or otherwise NO frame damage, underbody damage or otherwise Strong transmission Southern Jeep since new AC/Heat work well (wired with a switch since original switch stopped working) All other power accessories work, even the non leaking sunroof! Decent condition interior with desirable black leather interior AM/FM/CD/Tape works Nice paint overall, minor fading on the lower cladding as ALL of these do Recent starter installed before sale is wrapped up Good curb appeal even with the age and mileage Good battery Keyless entry that works Has nearly every option available for model year NO accidents You get 3 sets of wheels; the original, the chrome, and the Jeep steelies. Not so good: 268,xxx miles Minor scratches and dings, no wrecks. Clean carfax and title in hand. Minor quirks that all older vehicles and these models all have. Front diff noisy, ALL of these have some degree of this and over 100,000 miles since purchased with the noise it hasn't gotten much worse. I've owned several of these and driven even more, the noise level is up there but NOT critical by any means. I'm a mechanic and see no need to replace it as it's not getting worse over the last several years. Trans shifts a bit clunky from 1-2 and 2-3, it was that way when bought almost 10 years ago and has gotten NO worse. NOT a serious issue NOT slipping, just another Jeep thing. Could use refreshed suspension, but drives fine as is. NO ball joint issues or any safety issues. Needs tires. You will get the 4 original silver sprocket wheels, the 4 chrome wheels, and the steel wheels. All of which need tires. The chrome set has the best tires. The chrome set is held on with spacers, 1 spacer should be repaired before the 4th one is put on. May need an alternator. If it sells for buy it now, I will buy and install one for no additional charge. Needs a tune up. Nothing major. This could be a project but can also be a driver, not without its quirks but having been around these for 16 years this is by far the best high mileage one in my experience. Tight, strong, and amazing for a 20 year old Jeep --VIN is not actual, the report above does not match this vehicle,real vin available on request-- Will consider offers as well. Thanks
