Vehicle Detail
Hello , you are looking at a fairly rare , Factory built , Open Road camper. It is built on a Chevy Dually platform , with the back opened up to move between the cab area , and the living area . The rig was parked for many years , and it was kept , somewhat clean . while the paneling is discolored , and warped in many places , Everything is there for patterns , to bring this back to it's original glory . The hot water heater is gone , and I do not know if the , small, heating unit works .the biffy will need a good cleaning , or replacing all in the shower / bathroom combo would be easier . The fuel, brake, cooling systems should all be flushed and refilled . I ran the engine off a can of gas , under the hood , and it sounded perfect , NO TICKS , RATTLES , OR ENGINE NOISE OF ANY KIND , the engine is smooth , one of the nicest sounding 327s I have heard , ( and I build them for a living ) I was offered $1200 for the engine and 4-speed tranny , so That is where the bidding will start , I have the proper dually wheels to put on the front , ( I used regular 8 hole wheels to get it up on my trailer ) . I suppose this could be driven , but , I would suggest trailering it , as I said before , it was parked for many years , and the systems should all be freshened up , ALSO , the tires , while they hold air , and do not look too bad , I would not trust them on the highway , for any distance at all . ,,, Baby needs new shoes,,,, ! ! ! The seating area in the cab is amazing , and complete , 70,001 is the true mileage , and the pedals and seats show very minimal wear , The truck has power steering , that resembles a 66 mustang setup, it also has power brakes , and A/C . The outer , truck body is also in fantastic shape , I put pictures of the rusty areas on the lower fender , rear edges , there is also a bit in the front edge of the hood , all is minimal , and easy fix , , the fender patches would only need to be about 2x4 inches , or you could get lower fender repair panels , always available , and cheap , I would make my own , I am an old school body man , and I could patch and metal finish them in just a couple hours , ( Metal finishing is a lost art , and ZERO filler is used ) . the seats are in great shape , too, the damage is pictured , they are nice , the dash is clean , with no damage , or missing items , Some of the camper side glass may be cracked , , but it is flat glass , so easy enough to replace , This is just a nice old camper , that would be a cheap hotel to stay in , while selling your wares at a swap meet , or camp at a car show , or up in the woods, Thanx for stopping by , and peeking in one of the many rigs I own , Feel free to read , "About Me" and my 100% positive feedback . and take a look at my operation , on Facebook @ Joe's Garage, Montana , or my personal page , Joe Rooney , I am located in Billings , and would be happy to answer any questions you may have , I only have one request , Call me , I was nearly killed by a texting driver , and she destroyed my favorite truck , so NO TEXT , WHATSOEVER , and I seldom go on my computer , I am a one man operation , and work long hours , I always have my phone on me , and can talk about old iron all day ,so ,please CALL between 7AM and 8PM mountain standard time @ 406-591-9090
