Up for bid is a VERY RARE gmc p/u this is a 1/2 ton SHORT bed. But the most rare thing of all this was special ordered with the 'hydramatic automatic trans.The 1953 GMC was the first year the hydramatic was available in any GM trucks. (chevy got that option for 1954) This truck has been painted what looks like at least 3 times all diff. colors so you can really create a AWESOME patina paint with little sanding if you wish. It was a hot rod prob. 40 some years ago. Looks to have had a V8 -turbo 400 trans in it. No motor/trans now. they also changed the rear end from a closed to a open 6 lug with better highway gears.floor was replaced years ago and do feel very solid, doors open close and latch very solid. Windows roll up and down, and hood opens and latches .Corners have some rust but are structurally sound and there. bed floor needs replaced as all do. Tires hold air truck rolls,steers easily. All glass in and there missing seat cushion but good frame.
